Researchers at the NYU School of Global Public Health conducted a survey that stated nearly 15 percent of U.S. households reported food insecurity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With COVID-19 cases on the rise, the lack of consistent access to food in our community continues.
At the McDyer Insurance agency, we are committed to serving those in our area, and creating access to the resources needed to survive and succeed is a priority. Food is a basic need that most of us take for granted, but for families facing food insecurity, a stable source of food is seldom found.
We want to ensure neighbors have access to low-cost and free meals and are on a mission to provide equity for all. Food is a fundamental human right and key to our health and wellness; it should not be a luxury.
